Hey there, Middle School Writing Teachers!

I’m Kathie Harsch

As a 21st century writing coach and teacher, I help middle school writing teachers with proven strategies and techniques that improve writing and digital skills.

I believe in calling all of my students, “writers,” as I feel they each have a voice that needs to be heard.

Moreover, I believe using a writing workshop approach in your classroom promotes student voice and choice. I know how limited you are with time, resources, and worthwhile professional development. You want your students to thrive and effectively communicate their ideas.

Together we can do just that!

Writer’s Workshop Middle School: The Ultimate Guide blog post (a totally free resource) defines the writer’s workshop model, its essential components, pros and cons, step-by-step set-up, and further resources.

Using a writer’s workshop model helps my students improve their literacy skills and saves me lots of time planning and grading. So, now I have more time and energy for my family and for helping other teachers through Teach2Write.

Teach Middle School Writing with Ease Using these Proven Resources

When I started my Teacherspayteachers store, it was because I couldn’t find the resources I needed. From that first year  of teaching in 1996, I’d  always made my own worksheets.

Finally, I discovered Teacherspayteachers. However, I found there just weren’t enough resources for middle school writing teachers. So, I began my store, Teach2Write in 2013! I can’t believe that is almost over ten years ago now!

Now, I’m helping thousands of teachers and students. This has been a wonderful experience for me, and I look forward to the years to come.
